So our 2011 field season officially ended last week. On Wednesday the remaining members of the theodolite team packed up and returned to Perth.

This was a fantastic season and it was great to have such enthusiasm from everyone involved. We are still finalising this seasons observations, but will post a summary of the 2011 Geographe Bay whale sightings soon.

Of course the season would not have been possible without the support received from our collaborators, particularly the funding and equipment provided by Curtin University; and equipment and logistical support from WWR and D-CALC. A big thank you to everyone involved!

And hopefully next year we will be able to secure more funding to make the 2012 field season the best yet!
